Alright 03:39
You could let it be what you’re thinking Or you could think better of it We will say all there is to say Then forget it and walk away Love you better than I did before We could’ve run but there’s so much more Now we move to what it is we need to do Then I fall back into you CHORUS: There will come a day When we look back and say That’s my life and it’s mine And things turned out alright What should I be holding out for Don’t even think I know what love is anymore We don’t need it if its not working I’ll give it to the wind as I’m falling Falling down, floating down I can see everything Now back on the ground Safe and sound Ready for anything CHORUS 2x Bridge CHORUS 2x

One and Only 03:54
Finding myself, better every day It’s so nice to know you I don’t mind a cloudy day We can just sit here and play You’re my one and only You’re my one and only Do I go there, dare I say What I’m thinking You let it all go, take control You wake up and you wonder why they’re gone You don’t like where you’re rolling So you push ahead Find people who remind you how it goes Then you’ll know You’re my one and only Just yesterday, I thought of you And I smiled aloud What will your name be, how will you feel? You’re my one and only You’re my one and only Do I go there, dare I say What I’m thinking You let it all go, take control You wake up and you wonder why they’re gone You don’t like where you’re rolling So you push ahead Find people who remind you how it goes Then you’ll know You’re my one and only You will stay here and I will be with you It’s so nice to have you near I don’t mind being alone You’re still around after they are all gone I’ll never loose you, you will never leave You’re my one and only You’re my one and only

Just Fine 04:17
Time fades away, and I wonder how things will be. Pieces of me are all that are left and I’m holding out for the best. Yeah, I’m holding out for the best. And I’m so tired of waiting that I don’t know what else to do. If I can keep things together than I think I’ll be ok with you. Yeah, I think I’ll be just fine with you. Chorus: With the veil down, we will see again When it all goes down, we will be full again Like we were all supposed to be in the end. What is fading away? All my relations and old complications. Only so long to be young, comes earlier than later and fades away faster and I’m So tired of waiting that I don’t know what else to do. If I can keep things together, I think I’ll be ok with you. Yeah, I think I’ll be just fine with you. Chorus: With the veil down, we will see again When it all goes down, we will be full again Like we were all supposed to be in the end. La, la, la, la, la, la, la I think I’ll be just fine with you I know I’ll be just fine with you.

All I Got 03:39
It’s my condition, my ambition My struggle, my test Believe in you, trust in you Always see your best Been in trouble had to still my pride Been accused of being far too nice I felt the sting and my rage, my pain became My rhythm, my passion, the music My rhythm, my passion, the music CHORUS: I give to you everything, everything I give to you everything, all I got I give to you everything, everything I give to you everything, all I got You think you’re wrong, but you still hold on And you’ve never let go The road is long, seems to just stretch on You’ve come so far, I know The transition could go either way You weigh it out and you lay your bet down You felt the sting and your rage, your pain became Your rhythm, your passion, the music Your rhythm, your passion the music CHORUS: I give to you everything, everything I give to you everything, all I got I give to you everything, everything I give to you everything, all I got I give to you everything, everything I give to you everything, all I got I give to you everything, everything I give to you everything, all I got

Battling the Sun, I waste time. This dream is not only mine. Just once, lay it down. Risk everything for the lucky. Chorus: With eyes, see the truth. With heart, feel the love. With mind, know no fear. With my time, I am finally here. Battling the Sun, I waste time. This dream is not only mine. Let it go, watch it fly. Say a word, wave good-bye. Chorus: With eyes, see the truth. With heart feel the love. With mind, know no fear. With my time, I am finally here.

When the night ends, will I sleep and dream or lie awake thinking? When the night ends, will I have loved or lost? I seem to fall everyday. Chorus: Sometimes I fear I have given too much and in the end for what? I won’t give up, but tonight let me rest, give me peace, as I lay me down to sleep. When the night ends, will we know what will be or wake up guessing? When the night ends, will we still be the same or somehow changed like when the night turns to day? Chorus: Sometimes I fear I have given too much and in the end for what? I won’t give up, but tonight let me rest, give me peace, as I lay me down to sleep. Repeat Chorus: Sometimes I fear I have given too much and in the end for what? I won’t give up, but tonight let me rest, give me peace, as I lay me down to sleep.

about

In January 2010, Astra released the EP “Battling the Sun” with cover artwork by local San Diego artist Billy Martinez. "The sun is a metaphor for our personal power and confidence and how it's a waste of time to battle ourselves - it's a battle that is impossible to win. Being a musician seems like a battle much of the time, but in the end it is a shared dream, that takes more than just the players to realize. So battling yourself is like ignoring the bigger picture and the common goal." Recorded and mixed by Kellogg Boynton at Studio West.
